Toni Jacquez has been an educator for 25 years with the Gadsden Independent School District.  During this time she worked with the school community in the areas of teaching, counseling, and administration.  Her position in the schools did not end there.  It included working in the community with the gangs, catechism, and prayer groups.  Her interest with the Center stems assisting the families in the area.  Working with the women of the community would help serve the family in their efforts to improve or enhance their futures.  As part of her retirement goals, Toni also learns along with the women in the center by taking art classes and attending various workshops that are offered.

 

 

 

 

 

Eldelisa Nava is an Independent Associate with Pre-Paid Legal Services where she helps protect families and small businesses by providing affordable legal and identity theft solutions.  She has over 14 years of experience working with nonprofits in the are of substance abuse and violence prevention.  Eldelisa has dedicated herself to helping youth, families and her community.  She welcomes any opportunity to be a positive role model for those around her.  She is a proud resident of New Mexico where she resides with her three sons.

Christine Cantrell retired as Director of Libraries for the Gadsden Independent School District.

 

 

 

 


Board Members

Carol Eastman has worked as a Corporate Trainer for banks as well as a Project Director for the Arizona Department of Education / Equity Department.  Her experience includes grant writing, project design, marketing and management.  She has a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Texas at El Paso as well as additional education at the University of Texas at Austin and Northern Arizona University.  She currently resides in El Paso, Texas.

Petra Devora is a substitute teacher at Gadsden Independent School District and a participant of the Center

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maggie Provencio is the founder of PROS Accounting based in Las Cruces, NM.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Mary Helen Garcia is the NM State Representative for District 34 in Doña Ana County since 1997.  She currently holds the following State Committee Memberships: Vice Chair of Economic & Rural Development Committee, New Mexico Finance Authority Oversight Committee, Vice Chair of the Voters & Elections Committee and Member of the Education Committee.

 


Martha Padilla began her career with Walmart in 1992 working as a part-time cashier at a store in El Paso, TX.  She worked her way up the ladder to the position of store manager.  She is responsible for the operations of Walmart's third Neighborhood Market in El Paso.

 

 

Charles A. Staniszewski is a professional networker and talent pipeline developer.  He is an innovative project manager at ADP who uses creative and alternative methods.  His specialties are pipeline development, needles in haystacks; creative services; communications; marketing; branding and graphic design.
