. THANK YOU!
The Women's Intercultural Center provides the tools necessary for women to become the drivers of their own success. By investing in the Center YOU invest in women and let them do the rest. The following is a list of ways YOU can impact our participants and operations:
BEQUESTS AND OTHER PLANNED GIVING
YOU can play a part in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Women's Intercultural Center through gift planning today. Whether you bequest to the Center is in the form of cash, securities, real estate or other property, the gift is deductible for federal estate tax purposes, with no limit on the amount of your charitable estate tax deduction. A gift through your estate provides the following benefits:
- Opportunity to make a major gift while preserving assets during your lifetime;
- Reduction in federal estate taxes;
- Significant and much appreciated support for the Center in your name and/or area of specific interest in the Center.
To learn about the various planned giving vehicles, please contact Mary Carter at 575-882-5556 or via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
ENDOWMENT FUND
Women's Intercultural Center Endowment Fund support serves as a permanent financial resource that provides perpetual income. Unlike grants or contributions, endowments are invested to protect the "purchasing power" of the gift providing steadily growing amounts of spendable earnings over time. Donating to the Center's Endowment Fund is a way of ensuring that your support will last for generations. Endowed funds are unrestricted, which means they can be used wherever the need is greatest. Endowed funds are particularly valuable to the Center to support new or existing programs or initiatives in any of our operations.
To make a donation, please make checks payable to The Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico and designate your donation to the Women's Intercultural Center Endowment Fund. Mail checks to The Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico, 301 S. Church St, Ste. H, Las Cruces, NM 88001. ITEM DONATIONS
Please donate your gently used clothing, office supplies, office equipment, furniture, electronics, small applications and housewares to the Women's Intercultural Center's Honeycomb Thrift Shop. When applicable, qualifying tax-deductible donations are used for programs, business operations, maintenance of our facilities or resold through our Thrift Store. Proceeds from Thrift Store sales help to partially fund some of the Center’s programming and operational costs. Based on clothing and shoes donations, the Center makes two annual distributions to the communities we serve.
Store hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
For more information or to request for a donation to be picked up, please call (575) 882-5556.
RECYCLING INACTIVE CELL PHONES
Help the Environment and the Women's Intercultural Center, recycle your inactive cell phone(s). In recycling your inactive cell phone you help save energy and keep usable materials out of the landfills. Cell phones and PDAS are made of precious metals, copper and plastics-all which require energy to mine and manufacture. Recycling conserves these materials so they can be turned into new products. You can drop off your inactive cell phone at the Center at 303 Lincoln Street, Anthony, NM or you may mail them to PO Box 2411, Anthony, NM 88021.
