Program Acceptance

  • Persons of all backgrounds and genders may participate; however, participants younger than 18 years old must have an adult chaperon unless special arrangements have been made with Center Staff.

  • A minimum of 7 people is required to schedule a BAE.
  • Spanish is not required.  Group session translations are provided.
 

Program Costs

  • The cost of the program depends on the type of experience, program length and the size of the size of the group.  A $25 /person nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve your dates and place in a group.
  • Cost of program is $75/day per person. 

  • Restaurant meals will be based on the coordination between the Consciousness Coordinator and the trip coordinator of the group. It should be noted that participants are responsible for paying out of pocket expenses for meals scheduled at restaurants and/or other personal expenditures.

  • Payment must be received six (6) weeks prior to the start date of your experience.
 

Program Components

  • Program fees include all necessary transportation including transportation to and from the El Paso International Airport.  Air travel to El Paso, TX is not covered under the program fees and must be arranged by the group.  It is imperative that you coordinate your arrival time with the Consciousness Raising Coordinator in order to ensure appropriate logistic arrangements for group pick up.

  • Three meals per day are included in the duration of your stay. Any special dietary arrangements must be made prior to your arrival.


The Center's house will be used for group lodging and some itineraries will include a  three (3) day stay at a local family's  home or you may chose to an adventure accommodation which is sleeping under the night sky in a sleeping bag (you must provide the sleeping bag) on the roof of the Center. 

 

Travel to Mexico

Visits to Cd. Juarez, Chih., MX have temporarily been discontinued from the BAE Program due to the increased violence at the border.  In the near future when the environment becomes safer the tours into Mexico will be reinstated into our programming.  When and if this does occur, it should be noted that the following documents will be required to travel into Mexico:


  • U.S. Citizens need a U.S. Passport or a U.S. Passport Card.

  • Legal residents need a Permanent Resident Card.

  • Non U.S. citizens need visas or other documents depending on your origin and you current status.
