Anthony, N.M., residents can offer their hopes and ideas at a public meeting Thursday on a master plan for the unincorporated area of about 7,000 residents.
The meeting, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2 at the Women's Intercultural Center, 303 Lincoln, will include a presentation by Sites Southwest, an Albuquerque-based planning and consulting firm.
The master plan is part of an effort to incorporate Anthony. New Mexico's Anthony is next to Anthony, Texas, which is already incorporated.
The master plan will include land use, growth management, public facilities, utilities, transportation, environment, housing, economic development and hazard mitigation, said Sara Bautista, planner for Sites Southwest.
The meeting will be conducted in English and Spanish and interpreters will be available.
